Fire Damage Restoration Services

We are very sensitive to what you are going through, and we will be there to help you through every step of the process. Here are the steps to restore your home or business from fire damage.

Step 1 – Board Up

Board up the premises to make safe and secure. With a fire, there can be exposure to outside elements, shattered windows, broken doors, or walls. The longer your property is exposed to the outdoor elements, the more challenging it is for our team to combat the fire damage.

Step 2 – Clean-up

Clean-up the home, business, and property. At Resto ASAP, we will remove any affected building materials and discard or clean contents with the owner’s approval.

Step 3 – Remove Water / Structural Drying

Any standing water will be removed through water extraction, drying and dehumidification cutting edge methods.

Step 4 – Soot and Smoke Damage Restoration

After a fire, the odor of smoke seeps into everything. If it is not addressed promptly and correctly, your home has the potential of smelling like smoke indefinitely. Because soot leaves behind an oily residue on anything it touches, it is essential to use the right cleaning solutions and procedures to remove it properly. The certified professionals at Resto ASAP are appropriately equipped and trained to do just that. With the correct equipment, training, and certification, we can clean-up and restore fire, smoke, and soot damage.

To remove any fire soot and smoke odors from the premises, we will perform a thorough cleaning of all affected building materials and contents. Trust that your property, ranging from antiques to everyday items such as upholstery, hard furniture, electronics, and collectibles, will be treated with the utmost respect and care. This includes walls, flooring, windows, roofing, carpeting, contents, and more.

Step 5 – Storing and Cleaning Contents

A fire can create a challenging task of what to do with items that can no longer be stored in a home or business. Therefore, we provide a comprehensive storage package that can store your belongings until the fire damage is completely repaired.

Step 6 – Handling Insurance Claims

Trying to get your life back on track from fire damage is tough enough. So, we work with your insurance company to coordinate your claim and eliminate the hassles.

Smoke Damage Restoration – What to Do:

  • If you notice any fire or smoke damage, call Resto ASAP at 855-630-4584.
  • Open all drawers, cabinets, and closets to air out the room.
  • To prevent the smoke and soot byproducts from settling into additional surfaces, tape two layers of damp cheesecloth over each air register.
  • Immediately unplug your refrigerator and discard all of the food inside.
  • Discard all food in the pantry and on countertops that were exposed to the fire and smoke.
  • Change the HVAC filter.
  • Wipe off all plant leaves that contain soot.
  • Wipe off any materials that are made of Formica, chrome, porcelain, or aluminum.
  • Make sure to send any damaged clothing to a professional restoration dry cleaner.

Fire Damage Clean-up – What NOT to Do:

  • Do not touch anything without gloves. Any oil on your hands can cause additional damage to affected contents and building materials.
  • Do not clean any surfaces in your home by yourself. The cleaning requires proper techniques and products, or it can worsen the damage.
  • Make sure not to use any household appliances that contain smoke damage from the fire.
  • Do not turn on the ceiling fan or any overhead lighting.

Even if the fire is out, the damage can still spread with the smoke and soot byproducts.
